Finding seasonal home

If you are looking for a Seasonal home in Sanibel, Captiva or Fort Myers, there are many options. You may be interested in a Single family residence or a condominium.

On Sanibel there are basically five kinds of residential areas:

Gulf Front Estates
These homes have direct Gulf of Mexico views
Beach Access Properties
Usually these homes are in a subdivision with deeded beach access and a homeowner's association that offers common amenities (i.e., pools, tennis courts, clubhouse, etc.)
Waterfront Canal Homes
These homes are on navigable canals with access to the Bay or Gulf.
Golf Course Communities
Residential property surrounds the three golf courses on Sanibel: Beachview Golf and Tennis Club, Dunes Golf and Tennis Club, and The Sanctuary at Wulfert Point.
Inland Residential Properties
Homes on the interior of the Island are often designed to take advantage of the proximity to our environmental wealth… the many lakes, wildlife refuges, and conservation tracts.

Condominium complexes fall into three categories:

Vacation Gulf Front Complexes, Luxury Gulf Front Complexes, and Bay Front and Canal Complexes.
Vacation Gulf Front Complexes usually have units with full and partial Gulf views. Most have amenities like swimming pools and tennis courts.
Luxury Gulf Front Complexes are direct Gulf Front units and tend to have more living space. These complexes often have a one-month minimum rental requirement.

Bay Front and Canal Complexes are generally across the street from the Gulf and have a short walk to deeded beach accesses. They do not usually have Gulf views, but may have Bay or Canal views. They are often priced substantially lower than the Gulf Front complexes.
